Senate Reintroduces CHRONIC Care Act

Senate Finance Committee Chair Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Senators Johnny Isakson (R-GA) and Mark Warner (D-VA) who co-chair the Committee's Chronic Care Working Group, reintroduced the Creating High-Quality Results & Outcomes Necessary to Improve Chronic (CHRONIC) Care Act (S. 870) last week. The bill seeks to streamline care coordination, improve disease management and reduce Medicare costs by expanding the Independence at Home program; providing more flexibility to Medicare Advantage and ACOs; and expanding certain telehealth services.
