Geriatrician at the University of Virginia

The Department of Medicine's Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative, and Hospital Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks candidates interested in joining an innovative practice in Geriatric Medicine. Clinical responsibilities will include skilled nursing, long-term care, and hospital-based services, with an emphasis on transitions of care for high-risk patient populations. Clinical duties may also include quality assessment and practice improvement activities for achieving the Triple Aim for older adults. The faculty member will participate in medical education for Geriatric Medicine fellows, residents, and medical students in both classroom and clinical settings. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. This faculty position can be a tenure-ineligible Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates may be boarded in either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine is preferred, but not required, with overall priority given to highly-qualified candidates with proven dedication and excellence working with older adult populations.
