Breaking the Cycle of C. difficile
Since Clostridum difficile (C. difficile) infection has been shown to be a marker of debility and death in post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) residents, it is critical that the treatment team develop an understanding of the scope of the problem, as well as effective preventive measures and treatment regimens. This webinar will review the increasing dilemma of C. difficile infection in PALTC. The activity will focus on prevention of infection with a discussion on the critical role of normal gut flora, antibiotic stewardship, and hand/environmental hygiene.
