Electronic submission of staffing data through the Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) is required of all long-term care facilities in 2016. July 1 began the first date of data collection. You will have up to 45 days to submit data from July 1, 2016-September 30, 2016. The last day to submit data for the quarter is November 14, 2016. On July 7, 2016, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a proposed rule that updates payment policies, payment rates, and quality provisions for services furnished under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) on or after January 1, 2017.
