When my mother developed complications from congestive heart failure, The Pavilion became her permanent home. Our social worker, on staff at Croasdaile, made the transition from the hospital to skilled nursing easy.
My mother realized that she needed daily assistance with everyday tasks. Going home with 24 hour help sounded like too much responsibility to her and too isolating. It was comforting to her to know help was available anytime she needed it. She developed appreciation and trust for the CNA's that keep her comfortable and safe. Housekeeping hung drapes, connected her TV and family members hung family photos and other memorabilia from her former residence of fourteen years.
My mother rests and enjoys the view of the courtyard, the birds and all the people that check on he, daily. We are all thankful and grateful to the many caregivers at Croasdaile.
