TEFCA Common Agreement v2.0 Published to HealthIT.gov

Common Agreement Version 2.0 (CA v2.0) includes enhancements and updates to require support for FHIR API-based exchange. The move to standardized APIs in CA v2.0 will help improve patient access to health information and facilitate easier exchange via TEFCA. The CA establishes the technical infrastructure model and governing approach for different health information networks and their users to securely share clinical information with each other – all under commonly agreed-to rules-of-the-road. The Common Agreement v2.0 has been submitted to the Office of the Federal Register for publication and ONC will update HealthIT.gov/TEFCA with the link to the Federal Register notice when it is available.
