BE IT RESOLVED, that AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (AMDA) Board of Directors add the topic of requiring post-acute and long-term care (PA/LTC) exposure in medical education to AMDA’s strategic plan;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that AMDA formally request that the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, Liaison Committee on Medical Education,  American Academy of Family Physicians, American Geriatrics Society, American College of Physicians, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and other stakeholder organizations support a mandatory minimum exposure to the PA/LTC setting in medical school and in adult primary care and specialty postgraduate medical education residency and fellowship programs;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,  that AMDA  bring a resolution to the American Medical Association House of Delegates meeting supporting a mandatory  minimum exposure to the PA/LTC setting in undergraduate and graduate medical education;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that AMDA communicate with other stakeholder organizations and develop strategy to promote the expansion of PA/LTC experience in medical school and postgraduate medical education.
